Level X Series 2 will take place between 3rd and 9th June. Entries are now being accepted for all 16 events up to 400 IM for all our Age Group squad swimmers. Racing returns to the Quays!! A massive well done to our 9-12 year olds who participated in Round One of The National arena Junior Swimming League! Over 150 clubs across the UK & Ireland raced this week ,each competed on a virtual bases. A big thank you also goes out to our volunteers, in organising and running this event. We have now submitted our results and look forward to the next two rounds, which will give more swimmers the opportunity to take part in this fun event.

We are delighted to hear from Active Nation that the pool will be ready for the first step of our return to swimming training at the Quays in the week commencing 12th April. This will be for under 18 squad swimmers with older swimmers returning in May. We are also pleased to have heard from Regents Park School and Otters Learn to Swim will be returning from 26th April. With the new national lockdown being announced from Monday 4th, we will sadly not be training at the Quays for the time being. More information will be emailed directly to all members and posted on Team Feed and Facebook. If you are not receiving the emails, please contact [email protected]. We fully support Swim England's efforts to reopen pools as soon as it is safe again. In the meantime, stay safe and look after each other.
With the announcement of the impending Lockdown, from Monday 2nd to Wednesday 4th, all squad swimmers had a chance to take part in the Level X Time Trials. Just over five hundred individual events were swum across all strokes and distances from 50m to 200m with more than 70% converting to Personal Bests. Emails have gone out to squads inviting all swimmers to enter. Series 1 will run from 1st November to 31 December 2020. Series 2 is proposed to run from 4 January to 9 March 2021. We are excited to be taking part in Level X Racing. Level X Racing is not a gala, but a time-trial activity. It was a welcome return to City of Southampton Masters last week, with 18 squad members making the first session on Tuesday night (8pm) and a further 12 on the newly introduced Friday night (8pm) slot. Many thanks to those that put themselves forward as Masters COVID-19 Liaison Officers and the Committee for getting us up and running again.
