At a previous Swim England Friends Judicial Training day, we received a presentation by Barbara Barrett and Jenni Dearman (Safeguarding Team) with regard to parents and issues about how they treat their swimmers.
As part of a presentation we were encouraged to look at the YouTube video, “Magic Sports Kit”. This puts forward how a young athlete feels, when they are competing. It is an excellent tool to get over the feelings of young people when they are faced with hostility in sport and is appropriate for both swimmers and parents.
