Head Coach Comments:-
Congratulations are well and truly in order.
It has been a long time since we have been able to race outside the city wall boundaries. I know for many of these young swimmers it was the first time that they have been able to race long course and attend an away open meet, or indeed race at an open meet. Judging from the results it certainly looks like they enjoyed the competition and gained valuable race experience.
I only hope that we can return to some easing of restrictions when we are competing at championships or open meets in the future. Yes, I was told off (announced on the PA) for standing up and attempting to coach on my feet – to the delight of fellow coaches (who were caught later)... I should probably have known better, you cannot hide when you are 6 foot 3 !
Well done to the 8 swimmers that qualified through Level X and raced in the SE Region Festival of Swimming at both Wycombe and Crawley.
Over both competitions every swimmer raced really well recording many personal best swims.
Special Congratulations to:
Rose and Tilly: Both these younger girls work really hard in my squad, have excellent attendance and deserve their 100% pb ‘hit’ rate.

A huge thank you to the CSSC Volunteer Helpers and Officials at both Festival of Swimming and Guildford Open Meet, I am sure the swimmers would also like to pass on their thanks. Without your help and dedication these events would not take place.
The difference to the progress all our swimmers will make between now and our next competition, will be the swimmer’s Attitude, Attendance and Application in TRAINING (session by session, week by week, cycle by cycle).
